Cougars get tough victory over Ross; Look toward FAVC title.

SOFTBALL

EDGEWOOD 1, ROSS 0: Sara Pearson fired a four-hitter and Kayla Harmon had an RBI double in the sixth inning Tuesday to give the host Cougars a key Fort Ancient Valley Conference Scarlet Division triumph. Brittany Fernandez had a three-hitter for the Rams (11-4, 4-1 FAVC Scarlet), and Rachael Connaughton added two hits. Edgewood improved to 15-2, 7-1.
